The mysteries and splendors of Egyptian art were enveloped and symbolized into shapes and forms, and conditioned by the geometric rules of propriety and harmony; they remain a powerful influence in many of his works today.

Although officially  listed  in the ‘Who’s Who in Art’ (published by the Art Trade Press Ltd – 28th edition 1998) as a ‘sculptor in hand beaten and welded aluminium’, Roy Rasmussen, coupled with his work as a sculptor, has spent a very significant part of his career promoting contemporary fine art, in general through his contribution to, and management of the Woodstock Gallery in London, and then the establishment of the Free Painters and Sculptors; he served as director of their Loggia Gallery in Buckingham Gate, London.

His work continues to be respected and acclaimed by critics and connoisseurs throughout the art world.
